History of the VMI Chaos Center

• 1960: Research on chaos theory.
• 1967: Published our first books on chaos theory (ie, dynamics).
• 1975: Teaching chaos theory as a graduate program at UCSC.
• 1980: Began writing books about chaos theory for a larger audience.
• 1994: Began on this website, to extend chaos theory into schools world-wide.
• 1997: Publication of Chaos in Discrete Dynamical Systems, our first book/cdrom/website package on chaos theory.
