History of Stereo 3D: the Anaglyphic Process


The first stereograms were produced in the mid-1800s by Sir Charles Wheatley and Sir David Brewster. The first stereo 3D movies arrived in the early 1900s, using red-green glasses. Cross-polarized glasses appeared in the 1950s.
